P.R. McIntosh, Midcentury Mixed Media Work

Mixed media on board by P.R. McIntosh (1897-1985), Signed at lower right, circa 1950s. P.R. McIntosh was born in Indiana, and taught art in Ohio, Illinois, and Florida. He showed his work in numerous solo exhibitions over the course of his career, including in Paris at the Galerie Jean Dufresne. He worked in an ever-evolving range of styles, while always returning to his signature abstract representations of people and nature.
