Amber Fields Log Cabin Quilt

The Amber Fields Log Cabin Quilt is a traditional hand made quilt.  The design features a playful arrangement of fabrics in the traditional cabin style made popular in 1863, to help raise funds for the Union Army during the American Civil War. It was thought to be in honor of Abraham Lincoln, who grew up in a log cabin. The colors range in soft natural earthy tones from warm ivory, taupe, and umber, to  dusty pink, mink and mauve. The quilt has a sateen backing in warm beige with white hand sewn quilting lines. While the quilt is vintage, it shows very minimal wear. One of a kind.
