Our latest design using vintage and reclaimed materials. The Driftwood Boro Lamp, Two made from a salvaged 1970s manzanita root wood shop lamp paired with a custom boro cloth lamp shade. Boro cloth are a traditional Japanese craft created by up-cycling fabrics over generations. The cloth is created by patching and mending layers of handwoven antique and vintage textile remnants. We think of boro cloth as a conversation, a beautiful work of art created with time. Due to the nature of these traditional textiles, there may be areas with wear, loose layers, staining, and holes. We feel these imperfections help to tell the history of the piece. The driftwood lamp has been restored and rewired. All new components are brass. We only restore the elements of the lamp that needs updating, so that the vintage quality of the lamp remains. One of a kind.
