Kenneth Armitage Lithograph. Born in 1916, Kenneth Armitage was one of the foremost British sculptors of the 20th century. He is best known for large semi-abstract pieces and figurative forms. He won the category for best international sculpture at the Venice Biennale in 1958. He went on to make CBE in 1969 and RA in 1994. He is widely considered a pioneer of modern sculpture. His work belongs in the collections of the MoMa, The Tate, The Guggenheim, etc.

Provenance: Martha Jackson Gallery; founded in 1953, Matha Jakson was groundbreaking in its representation of women and international artists, and in establishing the op art movement. One of a kind.
