Slow Roads x Field Studies, Flora Kudzu Basket
Considerations:
✓ Vintage
✓ Handcrafted
✓ Environmentally Conscious
This basket is expertly woven by hand utilizing a material which grows in abundance: Kudzu. This vine hails from East Asia, Southeast Asia, and some of the Pacific islands and is considered an invasive in the United States and is known as "the vine that ate the south" for it's ability to quiickly climb over everything in it's path, unchecked. Field Studies is interested in the ways we can utilize the species that thrive alongside us, and this basket is a beautiful example of intelligent ways we can utilize such a plant. One of a Kind.
Grounded by our mutual reverence and affection for Mother Nature, this piece is part of our collection of art, garden decor and niche tools curated in collaboration with Alex Crowder of Field Studies Flora.
