Crafted in partnership with Woven World Wide, our Cowrie Shell Baskets are a timeless blend of traditional weaving techniques and natural materials. Each basket is handwoven in small batches, using a single weave method that incorporates the shells into the basket's structure. Working with skilled weavers from Accra, Ghana, we are proud to support and preserve ancestral weaving skills that have been passed down for generations. These baskets add a touch of elegance to any space, whether it's a bedroom, walk-in closet, or laundry room, making them both practical and beautiful. 

Based in Toronto, Canada, Woven World Wide is a studio that collaborates with artisan groups from around the world. Their unique business model provides employment opportunities for basket weavers, with a majority of 78% of their value chain made up of marginalized grandmothers, mothers, aunts, and daughters. This not only supports their families, but also ensures food security, access to healthcare, and post-secondary education for their dependents.
