Terms of Service
All pieces in the Slow Roads shop have been selected and inspected to meet our quality standards and expectations.
New pieces are made by artists, artisans, craftspeople and designers and are selected for their creative integrity and artistic value. We produce and purchase pieces that lean organic in nature, and we champion work that bears imperfections.
International Orders:
Slow Roads does not collect VAT Tax at checkout for International orders. Customers may be charged additional duties and import taxes. It is the customers responsibility to pay these taxes upon arrival.
All "Return to sender", "Missed delivery", "Refusal" or "Unsuccessful delivery attempts" causing a package to be returned to Slow Roads are subject to a 25% restocking fee.
Shipping fees are non refundable.
Slow Roads is not liable for missed deadlines due to customs. Customs can potentially postpone shipment deliveries up to 5+ weeks during peak seasons and 2-3 weeks during normal seasons.
Estimated delivery dates do not include customs, customs delays or packages lost in transit.
Vintage and Antique:
Vintage and Antique items tend to show irregularities due to age and use over time. We do not alter or restore any work, unless noted in the product description. Items are sold as found.
All inconsistencies and imperfections are noted on their product page. Below is a key for our guidance on condition.

All artwork is authentic.
All artwork is non-returnable.
All artwork is one of a kind, unless otherwise stated.
All artwork created as a collaboration with Slow Roads ships directly from Slow Roads.
All artwork may take an additional 5 - 10 business days to process.
If shipping charges are inaccurate at checkout, the customer is responsible for covering any unforeseen additional costs. Slow Roads will communicate additional shipping charges to the customer on behalf of the artist.
Please contact Slow Roads for any information regarding the artist, artwork or shipment.
Returns:
All returns must be approved by Slow Roads. Please contact us at customerservice@slow-roads.com within 20 days of your purchase date.
We do not issue refunds, but are happy to provide you with a store credit for most items. Store credit expires after one year of purchase.
All items under the Gallery, Art & Objects (Paintings, Sculptures & Objects, Prints) and Vintage (Art) sections on our website are non-returnable.
All made to order items including but not limited to Lighting, Rugs, Sheepskin Rugs, Wreaths (if removed from their shipping crate) and Accent Furniture on our website are non-returnable. If approved, made to order item returns are subject to a 25% restocking fee. The fee will be charged upon arrival of the return and deducted from the reimbursement.
All other approved returns are subject to a 10% restocking fee. The fee will be charged upon arrival of the return and deducted from the reimbursement.
All returns must be received in their original condition and packaging.
All returns must be shipped via UPS.
The return amount of items showing use or damage will be at the discretion of Slow Roads.
Shipping fees are non refundable, and customers are responsible for return shipping fees. We do not offer free exchange shipping.
Slow Roads does not assume responsibility for reimbursement or compensation of returned packages or packages lost in transit. We advise sending returned packages with a reliable carrier.

Shipping:
All applicable orders are shipped via UPS, USPS, or DHL and are charged rates based on the item's size and weight, unless otherwise selected at checkout. UPS does not deliver to PO Boxes.
Orders are processed within 5 days for in-stock items, and are shipped out Monday through Friday. Once your order has shipped, a confirmation email with tracking information is sent to the email address provided at checkout.
Artwork and larger sizes items may take an additional 5 business days to process, due to their unique size.
The customer is responsible for receiving packages. If the customer fails to receive the package and it is returned to Slow Roads, the customer is responsible for all shipping charges.
International customers are responsible for paying all Fees, Duties, and Customs. These charges are not included at checkout.
Charges and Credits:
Customer authorizes, understands and agrees that all charges and fees as outlined in the terms of sale will be charged on the credit card provided at time of sale. If at any time the payment method cannot be verified, is invalid, or otherwise is not accepted, your purchase may be suspended or cancelled until you are able to resolve the problem to our satisfaction.
Prices:
Customers are informed during the purchasing process before order submission, regarding fees, taxes and costs (including, delivery costs) that they will be charged for their purchase.
Prices are displayed on product pages, exclusive of shipping costs and taxes.
Due to the limited quantities and one of a kind items selected, Slow Roads is not able hold or reserve items.

The purpose of this Privacy Policy is to inform you what information we collect from you, how we use your information and the choices you have regarding our use of your information. By using our website i.e making a purchase, signing up for our Newsletter, or sharing your information with us, you are accepting and consenting to the practices described in this Privacy Policy.
