Lake Naomi Log Cabin Quilt

The Lake Naomi Log Cabin Quilt is a traditional hand made antique quilt. The materials consist of printed cottons, and the Pennsylvania Pineapple Log Cabin design features a playful arrangement of fabrics.  The Pineapple quilt pattern, with all of its sharp points and intricacies, is perhaps the most impressive of all the Log Cabin quilt block designs.  It has almost twice the number of pieces as a comparable log cabin block pattern.  This piece is especially artful, with an extremely considered sense of color and design. The colors range from soft neutrals, to earthy umber, rust, and slate blue, and has pops of bright azure, poppy, and tangerine. The quilt has a soft ivory seersucker backing, with matching pull ties. While the quilt is likely 1880's, it shows limited age or wear. One of a kind.
