✓ Handcrafted

Our Scout's Drawstring Boro Bag is a classic komebukuro, a traditional Japanese rice bag used for carrying rice offerings to temples and shrines during festivals and ceremonies, or for holding gifts for loved ones. These bags are crafted from boro cloth, a unique Japanese technique of repurposing fabrics over multiple generations. This process involves patching and mending layers of handwoven antique and vintage textile remnants, which are then dyed with indigo for its natural anti-bacterial properties. Boro cloth is not just a material, but a thoughtful work of art created over time. One of a kind.
