Sunset Log Cabin Quilt

The Sunset Log Cabin Quilt is a traditional hand made quilt, made with a variety of satin fabrics. The design features an sophisticated color palette in the Log Cabin style made popular in 1863, to help raise funds for the Union Army during the American Civil War. It was thought to be in honor of Abraham Lincoln, who grew up in a log cabin. The palette on the front of the quilt is made up of rich earthy colors of rose pink, gold and orange. The palette on the back of the quilt is a ecru. The quilt has a scalloped trim details on all four ends, adding depth and interest when draped over a bed. The quilt is estimated to be from the 1930s. One of a kind.
