Moonlight Sea Quilt

This Moonlight Sea Quilt is a traditional hand made textile from Asia, made with a variety of cotton fabrics, primarily in shades of blue, pink and red. The design features an elegant arrangement of colorful fabrics in a style similar to the American Cathedral Window quilt pattern, a relatively new quilt design, with first mentions going back to the 1930s. The style of quilting is made by blocks in repetition with a star motif cut through to reveal another layer of fabric. The textile is simply a quilt top and has no backing. One of a kind.
