One of our favorite vintage quilts we’ve found so far. The Snow Blossom Birds in Air Quilt is a traditional hand made quilt, made with a variety of cotton fabrics. The design features an elegant arrangement of patterned period fabrics in the traditional Birds in Air quilt pattern made popular in 1800s. The style of quilting is made by quilting blocks of small triangles by hand together. The Snow Blossom Quilt has a few thousand individual pieces. The palette is made up of soft earthy colors of rose pink, grass green and shades of grey, brown and black on an elegant foundation of warm natural tones. The quilt has an ecru cotton backing with a small pinkish red floral motifs. The quilt top is estimated to be from the 1890s. One of a kind.
