The Sugar Plum Log Cabin Quilt is a traditional hand made quilt, made with a variety of cotton and wool fabrics. The design features a elegant arrangement of patterned period fabrics in the traditional Log Cabin style made popular in 1863, to help raise funds for the Union Army during the American Civil War. It was thought to be in honor of Abraham Lincoln, who grew up in a log cabin. The palette is made up of soft faded earthy colors of rose pink, plum and deep green. The quilt has a natural palette backing made up for shades of ecru, sand, white and beige. One of a kind.
