A playful ceramic lamp, expertly crafted by a California artist, Jenny Mulder. Jenny's work is made with an eye for traditional methods of craft. Influenced by narrative, absurdism, humor and pleasure, the work is playful and possesses a refined and sensitive creativity.
The lamp is band built with coils, and clay is added by hand to create an organic texture. The clay is applied in parts, which created surface level spaces between sections. The lamp is left mostly unglazed, but is playfully dotted with blue, umber, and sage in an all over pattern. Due to the handmade nature of the lamp, the socket stands at a slight angle. Sold without a shade. One of a kind.
