Stone and Petal Stripe Quilt

This hand-made quilt, dating to the 1920s, is constructed from a variety of primarily cotton fabrics arranged in irregularly shaped and sized pieces. The unstructured, non-repeating layout is characteristic of a “Crazy Quilt” and includes hand-embroidered accents and hatch stitching along the seams. The front palette features slate shades accented with vintage pinks and reds, while the back is finished in solid gray flannel with a thin layer of batting. One of a kind.
