Stunning modernist abstract expressionist sculpture by Artist, Anne Damms.  Damms is an American sculptor working in steel, iron, and ceramics.  Her forms are welded, hammered, forged, and hand formed, with her physical interaction with materials an essential element to her work.  

This piece resurrects iron in evocative forms which reflect a continued exploration of the ritual object, and its power to tap into collective spiritual and universal emotions.  The idea of the object is expressed in both figurative and intuitive symbolic form.   

Damm has shown her work in juried exhibitions and galleries throughout the US including the Pennsylvania University Museum, The New Art Center in Washington DC, Mule Gulch Gallery, in Bisbee AZ, Burke- Armstrong Gallery in Taos, NM, and in numerous private and corporate collections.
