Aizome Sakiori Rug

The Aizome Sakiori Rug is a beautiful example of a sakiori textiles- The piece is in near perfect condition, and features a warm palette reminiscent of Autumn in Japan. Sakiori is a traditional form of Japanese weaving that recycles vintage textiles into a beautifully variegated functional cloth that is used for clothing, obis, rugs and blankets. We think of these handcrafted cloths as a conversation, a beautiful work of art created with time. We recommend using this piece as a rug, or as a bed topper draped at the end of a bed. Produced in the late 1930s. One of a kind.
