One of our favorite finds. Antique from the late 1800's or early 1900s, this hand-made, hand carved game board is beautiful and time worn. This incredible folk art board is hand carved in a checkerboard pattern, originally created for someone with loss of sight. The squares are intricately carved from two boards. The pattern and patina give the piece a subtle, graphic design. Wear and loss consistent with age and use, some breaks and cracks. A truly incredible and very rare example of early American folk art.
