Autumn Fields Log Cabin Quilt
✓ Made in the USA
The Autumn Fields Log Cabin Quilt is a traditional hand made quilt, made with a variety of fabrics. The materials consist of cottons, linen, and tartans. The design features a playful arrangement of fabrics in the traditional cabin style made popular in 1863, to help raise funds for the Union Army during the American Civil War. It was thought to be in honor of Abraham Lincoln, who grew up in a log cabin. The colors range from soft natural earthy tones like olive, rust, and lake blue to vibrant colors such as golden yellow and rose pink. The quilt has a warm chestnut cotton backing with pull ties in a range of neutral colors. While the quilt is likely 1920s or 30s, it shows medium age or wear. One of a kind.
