✓ Made in the USA
The Autumn Leaves Log Cabin Quilt is a traditional hand made quilt, made with a variety of cotton, wool and tartan fabrics. The design features a playful arrangement of patterned period fabrics in the traditional Log Cabin style made popular in 1863, to help raise funds for the Union Army during the American Civil War. It was thought to be in honor of Abraham Lincoln, who grew up in a log cabin. The colors range from soft neutrals, to earthy olive, rust, and slate blue. The quilt has a bold floral pattered backing that can also be seen around the sedges. The quilt has a pull tie design throughout and is most visible from the backside. The quilt is estimated to be from the 1950s or 60s. One of a kind.
