Lobi Vessels

Our elegant Lobi Vessels are hand constructed from terracotta clay by the Lobi People, a group that lives in the Gaoua and Diebougou regions of Burkina Faso, South West Africa. The vessels feature a raised dot motif with hundreds of hand molded, raised dots, the dots not only are beautiful but their function is to increase the volume of the vessel. Vessels were traditionally used to store liquids throughout homes and spiritual places throughout Africa. We recommend using as a decorative accent with the lid on, or as a vase for dried botanicals. One of a kind.
