Marble Boro Lamp, Medium

Our latest design using vintage and reclaimed materials. The Marble Boro Lamp, Medium are made from a vintage marble lamp paired with custom boro cloth lamp shades. Boro cloth are a traditional Japanese craft created by up-cycling fabrics over generations. The cloth is created by patching and mending layers of handwoven antique and vintage textile remnants. We think of boro cloth as a conversation, a beautiful work of art created with time. Due to the nature of these traditional textiles, there may be areas with wear, loose layers, staining, and holes. We feel these imperfections help to tell the history of the piece. The marble lamp has been restored and rewired. We only restore the elements of the lamp that needs updating, in order to preserve the vintage qualities of the lamp remains. One of a kind.
