Ojai Hand-Knotted Rug, 11’ 3” x 6’ 7"

Woven in Turkey this vintage low pile hand-knotted wool rug is one of our favorite vintage finds. An all over pattern woven with a repetition of large diamonds in a linear pattern with small motifs scattered throughout. The rug features a contrasting border with geometric motifs. The colors are in harmony with shades of pink, coral, ochre, gold and brown. Reminiscent of traditional gabbeh dyed techniques, the colors appear to blend throughout the rug. The rug features a low pile with a high knots per inch, perfect for heavy foot traffic. Due to the vintage nature of the rug, some areas may show use. All vintage and antique rugs have been professionally cleaned. One of a kind from the 1960s.
