One of our favorite handwoven coverlets. These time-honored designs are traditional woven by female weavers in the early 19th Century. This coverlet features a palette of golden yellow, ecru and rust. Overshot coverlets were woven on home looms, and constructed with two panels, stitched together, creating a center seam. However, this piece is one continues piece leading us to believe it was machine woven. We've collected these textiles from Antique Fairs and from textile dealers. We recommend using as a layer on the bed or styled at the end of the bed or on a sofa. Due to the age and use of the textile areas may show wear and imperfections. Woven in Quebec, Canada in the 1960s. One of a kind.
