Plaid & Polka Dot Boro Cloth, Mix Match
Considerations:
✓ Vintage
✓ Handcrafted
✓ One of a kind
The Plaid & Polka Dot Boro Cloth, Mix Match is one of our favorite vintage boros due to its unique pairing of vintage plaid and polka dot fabrics. Boro cloth are a traditional Japanese craft created by up-cycling fabrics over generations. The cloth is created by patching and mending layers of handwoven antique and vintage textile remnants. We think of boro cloth as a conversation, a beautiful work of art created with time. This piece is a one of a kind, five panel boro from the 1920s. The boro has been repaired in multiple locations with a contrasting fabrics. Due to the nature of these traditional textiles, there may be areas with wear, staining, and holes. We feel these imperfections help to tell the history of the piece. We recommend using as a throw, bed topper or as a tablecloth. One of a kind.
