Elegant Early 1950s Sunrise Furoshiki Cloth. Furoshiki cloth are traditional Japanese cloth used to wrap and cary objects, the cloth was a means to reuse and not discard unnecessary materials. Fukusa cloth can be used to wrap gifts, cary lunch for a picnic or wrap items for storage. We appreciate the sustainable approach to finding beauty in everyday reusable objects. This Fukusa has a label on one of the corners, likely the owners name or a brand. Due to the nature of these traditional textiles, there may be areas with wear, staining, and holes. We feel these imperfections help to tell the history of the piece. One of a kind.
