Beautiful batik indigo pillows, handcrafted by artisans using time-honored techniques. The spiral design is hand-drawn using beeswax resist, and then the pillow is dyed with natural indigo. The spiral pattern symbolizes the growth rings of the maple tree, the tree of life in Miao belief. It signifies peace, health and reunion. The ethnic Miao minority artisans living in Guizhou Province, Southwest China have been producing batik for over five thousand years.
