Hand Carved Shou Sugi Ban Bird
Considerations:
✓ Handcrafted
✓ Made in the USA
Our Hand Carved Shou Sugi Ban Birds adds a touch of novelty to any space. The birds are carved from sustainably harvested and locally sourced Atlantic White Cedar and finished in a shou sugi ban finish. The finish is then sealed with an all natural beeswax based furniture wax. This method showcases the natural beauty and imperfections of wood and subtle carving details. Shou sugi ban is a Japanese technique used to preserve wood by charring it with fire. The birds are hand carved and finished by artisans in the United States. We recommend hanging on a wall or above a door to add a playful touch. The sculpture comes with a forged iron hook rack for hanging.
