Our Hand-Carved Shou Sugi Ban Birds are carved from sustainably harvested Atlantic White Cedar, each bird is finished with the traditional Japanese Shou Sugi Ban technique—charring the wood to preserve its beauty—and sealed with a natural beeswax-based furniture wax. This method highlights the wood’s natural imperfections and the subtle details of the carving.

Hand-carved and finished by artisans in the United States, the birds can be hung on a wall or above a door with the forged iron hook rack included for hanging.
