One of our favorite vintage finds. A bandori is an incredible piece from Japan, this piece dates to the 1970s. The bandori is typically hand-woven out of some sort of re-purposed cloth, this one is made from recycled remnants of Japanese fabrics. It is used to carry heavy loads and outfitted with shoulder straps for extra padding. A bandori is made specially for the person carrying the load so it is beautifully unique in its materials and construction. The bandori is a beautiful piece of time-honored craft and can be hung on a wall as art. One of a kind.
