One of our more whimsical finds- The Dragonfly Pedestal Side Table adds a touch of Art Nouveau charm to the living room. Inspired by Nature the table features a sculptural base of floral and fauna, artfully arranged around the column and structure of the table. Handcrafted dragonflies circle the base creating a playful touch. The base has a rich, dark brown metallic patina, similar to a Japanned finish bronze. A Jappaned bronze finish is a term used to describe a decorative finish technique that originated out of Europe in the 18th century, the finish was as an imitation of East Asian lacquerwork using alternative materials and processes. The finish is still used today on historical reproduction work. One of a kind.
