Mino Raincoat, Thirteen
Considerations:
✓ Vintage
✓ Handcrafted
✓ One of a kind
Each Mino Raincoat is a remarkable piece of traditional Japanese craftsmanship. Handmade during the 1930s Showa Period, the coat is woven from rice straw, materials once commonly used by rural farmers across Japan, Korea, and China for their natural water-repellent properties. Functional in its time, and beautifully sculptural now, each coat is one-of-a-kind and carries the quiet strength of handmade objects.
