Designed by Børge Mogensen in 1947, the J39 Chair draws on Mediterranean, Scandinavian, and Shaker influences, and reflects traditional cabinetmaking principles. Crafted from solid wood with a hand-woven natural paper cord seat, it embodies Mogensen’s pursuit of design purity and functional quality. In continuous production since 1947, the J39 Chair is made in Denmark by Fredericia.
Fredericia is a family-owned, B Corp-certified design company that was established in 1911 and continues to produce some of the highest quality furnishings in the world.
