Venezia Hand-Knotted Silk Rug Swatch

The Venezia Rug is hand-knotted from pure silk in a rich, jewel-toned field of color. Its low pile has a soft, fluid sheen that shifts subtly as light moves across the surface, revealing the depth and clarity of silk-dyed color. With time, the rug develops a natural patina as the fibers respond to light and movement, giving the solid field a quietly changing character.

We have partnered with Armadillo, an Australian rug company, to bring our favorite designs from their collection to the Shop. Armadillo is dedicated to traditional handwoven techniques and partners with 1500 artisans in India to produce their quality rugs. The brand shares our values of using ethical and sustainable materials, and they are the only rug company in the US and Australia with B Corp status for their social and environmental practices. The collection features earthy colors, intricate weaves, and eco-friendly materials sourced through fair trade practices.

Care Instructions: Direct sunlight and heat sources, such as gas heaters and fireplaces, can cause the natural fibers to dry out and fade.
