The One-of-a-Kind Edit FAQ

What does one-of-a-kind mean?

Every piece in this collection is unique. Whether it’s an antique, a vintage find, or a handmade object, no two are exactly alike. Once an item is purchased, it will not be restocked.

How do you source vintage and antique pieces?

We travel the world in search of incredible items and also have relationships with trusted dealers, collectors, and independent pickers to source antique objects, vintage home accessories, folk art, and decorative pieces. Each piece has to live up to our standards of exceptional craftsmanship, historical significance and lasting character.

What condition are vintage pieces in?

Signs of age are part of what makes vintage objects special. Minor variations, wear, and patina reflect a piece’s history and are carefully documented in product descriptions whenever relevant.

Why mix vintage with contemporary furniture?

Older pieces bring warmth and individuality to a home. We love pairing antique decor, folk art sculpture, and vintage cast iron with newly made furnishings to create spaces that feel collected over time rather than decorated all at once.

Something I wanted sold, can I expect another similar item to become available?

Generally, no. Many objects in this collection are truly one of a kind, making each purchase an opportunity to own something that can’t be replicated. Sometimes we are able to buy similar items in multiples - for example, a series of Japanese paintings - but we tend to launch everything in a series all at once.
