Inspired by vintage leather pommel horses once used in 1930s gymnastics training, the Ithaca Bench is a timeless piece that balances durability with comfort. Its solid wood legs provide lasting strength, while the generously cushioned seat offers a plush sit that is both firm and supportive. Designed with intention, it feels equally at home in an entryway, dining room, or bedroom.

Hand-built by skilled artisans in North Carolina, the Ithaca Bench is fully bench-made, a process in which a single skilled artisan builds the piece from start to finish. This rare approach ensures thoughtful detail and exceptional quality, made to last for generations. 

What makes this version of the Ithaca Bench truly unique is the Slow Roads upholstery program. We specialize in creating one-of-a-kind combinations using rare vintage fabrics, premium leather, hand-selected textiles, and our Saja Sheepskin design. Saja is offered in three naturally undyed melange colorways, (Warm White, Grey, and Brown) each made from a blend of unbleached furs with their own natural variations in tone, texture, and length. The result is a surface rich in depth and character, ranging from warm to cool and light to dark.
