Eternal Garden Boro Cloth

Traditional Japanese Boro cloth dating to the 1950s, composed of two panels of vintage katazome-dyed fabric, layered, patched, and mended to extend the life of the original textiles. Bold florals, birds, hearts, and overlapping quatrefoil motifs create a richly patterned composition of color and texture. Visible hand-stitched repairs, overlapping fabrics, and areas of wear tell the story of a textile preserved and given new life over time. We think of Boro cloth as a conversation between generations, a beautiful work of art made by time. Equally suited for draping at the end of a bed, layering over a sofa, displaying as textile art, or using as a table covering. One of a kind.
