Checkered Indigo Boro Cloth

This Checkered Indigo Boro Cloth is an early 20th-century–inspired textile rooted in traditional Japanese boro techniques of layered and patched fabric. The three-panel composition is hand-stitched from carefully selected cotton remnants, with visible repairs and reinforcements throughout that reflect its history and making. Indigo-dyed and arranged in a layered multi-color checkered pattern, the surface shows subtle variations in texture and hue. Suitable for use as a blanket, bed topper, or table covering. One of a kind.
