Handcrafted exclusively for Slow Roads in Rochester, New York, the Ballast Mirror is designed and made by lifelong woodworker William Barstow. Drawing on traditional furniture-making techniques and modern technology, Barstow gives the simple round form a sculptural profile through shaped facets and traditional mortise-and-tenon construction.
The solid wood frame is available in North American White Oak or Eastern Black Walnut, each selected for its natural grain and variation in color. Available in four sizes, the Ballast works equally well as a small accent in a powder room or as a larger statement above a console or mantel.
