Valley Braided Trivet

This unique braided trivet dates to the 1940s–1950s and is constructed from vintage and off-cut fabrics and yarns braided into a circular form. The surface shows material variation consistent with reuse, and the edges are finished with hand stitching. Originally made as a chair pad, it can also function as a plant base protector or trivet. One of a kind.
