Our Kantha quilts are crafted from upcycled antique and vintage fabric remnants, layered with block-printed patterns and one-of-a-kind timeworn textiles, then hand-stitched and overdyed in rich tones of indigo. Because these fabrics carry a history of use, gentle signs of wear—such as light staining or small imperfections—may be present, and over time each quilt will continue to evolve, revealing layers of fabric and color beneath the overdye. Our images reflect the overall palette and style of the quits, rather than an exact piece. These are not production items; each quilt is a truly one-of-a-kind textile handcrafted in an artisan village in India, often repaired and mended before overdyeing. As a result, every quilt is unique in pattern, patchwork, and size, which adds to the beauty and individuality of each piece.
