Polish Duck Platter

This large serving platter is handcrafted and hand-painted in Bolesławiec, Poland, a region known for its long-standing pottery tradition. Made from glazed stoneware, the form is intended for serving and presentation.

The surface features a detailed duck motif rendered in predominantly blue, with accents of green, white, and gold. The central imagery is surrounded by short cattail plants in green and brown, creating a dense, illustrative pattern. This piece features a Unikat pattern—Unikat meaning “unique” in Polish—which incorporates a greater number of colors and finer detail than standard designs. Each Unikat piece is identified by a stamped “UNIKAT” mark on the underside.
