Polish Cheese Cloche, Feathers

This cheese dome is handcrafted and hand-painted in Bolesławiec, Poland, a region known for its long-standing pottery tradition. Originally designed to keep cheese and cured meats fresh at room temperature, the form reflects the functional origins of Polish domestic ceramics.

The surface features a repeating pattern of round, feather-like motifs in ivory and warm brown set against a navy base. The decoration continues up the dome in an ivory, warm brown, and ginger color palette, where a stylized female face is integrated into the form. The set includes a ceramic plate with handles and a fitted ceramic dome.
