This handmade cotton quilt features a traditional Flower Basket pattern popular in 19th-century American quiltmaking. Period fabrics in soft tones of red clay, pale blue, oak, and umber are arranged against an ivory background. Finished with visible hand-stitching and an ivory reverse, the quilt also includes a hanging sleeve for display as wall art. Subtle variations in fabric and color reflect its handmade construction.
