Cast Iron Rabbit Doorstop

This vintage cast iron rabbit features finely detailed casting in the form of a curled, resting hare, with its head tucked and one ear folded down. The hollow-bodied sculpture has a dark, slightly satin black finish with visible casting texture, along with areas of wear and rust that speak to its age and use.

At approximately 10 lbs., it has substantial weight despite its hollow construction. Likely dating to the mid-20th century, the piece has the character of a decorative garden ornament or doorstop. No visible foundry mark has been identified. One of a kind.
