Hand-pieced and hand-quilted in the early 1900s, this textile features the Snail’s Trail pattern, composed of geometric units arranged to form a continuous spiral. In this piece, alternating red and white fabrics create a strong visual contrast that emphasizes the movement of the design. The pattern repeats across the surface, producing a rhythmic, interlocking effect. Made primarily from natural cotton fabrics, the backing is a solid white cotton. One of a kind.
