Hans-Agne Jakobsson, Sonata Sconces, Set of 2
Considerations:
✓ Vintage
This pair of Sonata sconces was designed by Swedish designer Hans-Agne Jakobsson for Markaryd in the 1960s. Model V-169/1, each sconce features a lacquered polished brass base and arm with a smoked glass cylinder shade, creating a simple, torch-like silhouette. The original manufacturing stickers remain inside the fixtures, reading “Hans-Agne-Jakobsson AB–Made in Sweden.”
The sconces are sold in as-found, original condition with clearly aged brass, darker marks, and surface inconsistencies throughout. The two glass cylinders differ slightly in height, with one shade larger than the other; please refer to the listed dimensions. The fixtures have not been rewired and require professional rewiring and installation by a licensed electrician before use.
