Harvest Moon Sakiori Boro Rug

This vintage Japanese Sakiori Boro Rug was produced in the late 1930s and woven from recycled textile remnants in a richly varied multicolor palette. Sakiori is a traditional Japanese weaving technique that repurposes worn and vintage fabrics into functional textiles, including rugs, clothing, obis, and blankets. This piece has a delicate condition with areas of damage; please refer to the photographs for details. Use it as a rug or drape it over the end of a bed. One of a kind.
