The Meadows Log Cabin Quilt is a traditional hand made quilt, made with a variety of fabrics. The materials consist of cottons, wools, and tartans. The design features a playful arrangement of fabrics in the traditional cabin style made popular in 1863, to help raise funds for the Union Army during the American Civil War. It was thought to be in honor of Abraham Lincoln, who grew up in a log cabin. The colors range from soft neutrals, to deep red, pale pinks, and slate blue. The quilt has a bold floral pattered backing that can also be seen around the edges. One of a kind.
