Hand-pieced and hand-quilted in the 1880s, this textile features the Sawtooth Star pattern, identified by an eight-pointed star composed of four square-in-a-square units and four corner triangles. Alternating Sawtooth blocks and solid or patterned blocks form a checkerboard layout. The palette includes navy blue, vintage pink, and white, framed by a pink border. The backing is a solid vintage white cotton. Made primarily from cotton fabrics. One of a kind.
