Saja Chair

This Saja Chair is inspired by Scandinavian Art Deco furniture designed for hotels and lodges in the 1930s and 1940s. Its generous seat is both deep and wide, with a comfortable cushioned construction that offers a plush seat while remaining firm and supportive. Finished with sheepskin, the chair brings together the refined geometry of Art Deco design with a warm, tactile material.

Hand-built by skilled artisans in North Carolina, bench-made, a process in which a single skilled artisan builds the piece from start to finish. This rare approach ensures thoughtful detail and exceptional quality, made to last for generations. 

One-of-a-kind Saja Sheepskin upholstery crafted in the Netherlands. Saja is offered in two naturally undyed melange colorways, (Natural and Brown) each made from a blend of unbleached furs with their own natural variations in tone, texture, and length. The result is a surface rich in depth and character, ranging from warm to cool and light to dark. Crafted in the Netherlands, our rugs are made from natural, undyed, and unbleached sheepskin, ethically sourced and repurposed.

Color: When selecting between Warm Melange White and Brown Melange, keep in mind that each chair is unique and features a combination of undyed and unbleached natural furs. Colors can range from white to black and from warm to cool tones, with natural variations in texture, color, and fur length. The chairs shown are examples only; each finished chair will feature its own unique combination of natural sheepskins.

Care: Vacuum as needed using the high setting to remove dust and maintain the fibers. Brush with a wooden bristle brush as needed to restore the natural loft and remove knots or tangles. Spot clean spills immediately with a mild liquid detergent and damp sponge, then gently pat with a soft towel to absorb excess water. Never rub the fibers. Do not use detergents containing bleach or enzymes.

For deep cleaning, use a professional service specializing in sheepskin or leather. Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight, UV light, and high heat, which can cause spotting on lighter colors and fading on darker colors.

For standard orders please allow 14 to 16 weeks for production. For custom upholstery or COM, please allow 17 to 21 weeks upon receipt of fabric.
